SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to power supply lines in contact with current collectors of vehicles. The method for automatic control of the overheads of electric transport consists in forming and sending a survey signal, according to the received data from the force and temperature sensors, devices for reading information about the temperature and tension force of the contact wire process the received information and transmit it to the operator. Moreover, an additional ultrasonic survey signal is generated, which is sent by the ultrasonic emitter to the suspension block of compensators, which is returned to the ultrasonic receiver. Also applied for is an automatic control system for the overheads, which contains temperature and tension force sensors, devices for reading information about temperature and tension force, an ultrasonic receiver and an emitter. At the same time, the temperature and force sensors are made in the form of wireless radio frequency passive sensors. Moreover, wireless radio-frequency passive force sensors are made in the form of a force-measuring washer, which is clamped by a fastening mechanism when the cable is pulled between the metal washers.
