SUBSTANCE: invention relates to articulated joint of freight cars. Articulated joint of freight cars includes centre plate (1) and drive (2) parts hinged to each other by their connecting ends by means of connecting pin (3). Mutual movements of centre plate part (1) and drive part (2) are carried out by angular mutual rotation of middle spherical part (3.1) of connecting pin (3) in guide bushing (4) with simultaneous sliding, concentric to them, of lower support surface (2.3) of support ring (2.5) and inner spherical surface (1.5) of support annular seat (1.6). Such mutual connection allows to perform turning of centre plate part (1) and driving part (2) through larger angle in vertical and horizontal planes.

EFFECT: increased operational capabilities of the hinge assembly, as well as elimination of internal contact mechanical stresses between elements of the hinge assembly.
