FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and is intended for comparative and evaluation tests of antifriction materials for friction and wear. Friction machine for comparative tests of antifriction materials consists of a frame on which a fixed head with a drive shaft rotation drive is installed, on which two or more independent friction assemblies are installed for comparative tests, and movable head for fixation of drive shaft. Each autonomous friction unit consists of mounting, loading parts and measuring system. Mounting part serves to fix the sample and the counter-sample, as well as to transmit the rotational movement to the contact zone of the analysed friction pair with the possibility of fixing the temperature of the sample under different lubrication conditions in the friction pair. Loading part is made using a compression spring, a threaded tip, a load strain gauge and a tension nut, by means of which the required load is created in the contact zone of the investigated friction pair. Measuring system can be mounted on the frame of the friction machine and consists of a digital micrometer for determining linear wear of the sample and a strain gauge for determining the friction force in the friction pair under study.
