METHOD OF TREATING RUPTURE OF PUBIC SYMPHYSIS COMBINED WITH FRACTURES OF HORIZONTAL BRANCHES OF PUBIC BONES Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/68 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for treatment of pubic symphysis rupture, combined with fractures of horizontal branches of pubic bones, during which pubic bones are connected by a metal rod. Longitudinal skin incision is made in a projection of a pubic symphysis, soft tissues are mobilized to pubic tubercles. Cortical layer of pubic bones is opened alternately on both sides to form entry points into the left and right pubic bones. Geometric shape of two rods is modeled in accordance with anatomical shape of pelvic bones. Rods are placed inside the horizontal branches of the pubic bones throughout and beyond the level of the anterior cotyloid cavity, leaving free ends within the pubic symphysis. Ends of the rods are connected by a fixture containing two polyaxial heads of a tuning fork connected by a U-shaped bridge. Ends of rods are laid in grooves of polyaxial heads and pressed by screws intended for pressing of rod to spherical tip of bridge. Pubic symphysis is brought together at a predetermined distance; the retainer is positioned on the rods. After reaching the required position, the retainer screws are tightened up to the stop. Wounds are closed.

EFFECT: method provides fixation of rupture of pubic symphysis, combined with fractures of horizontal branches of left and right pubic bones at different levels, fracture of anterior cotyloid cavity, with preservation of physiological mobility in pubic articulation due to features of fixation.
