FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for producing cell toroids, which includes an insert, a cover, a bottom, two side walls made by photopolymer 3D printing and two front walls obtained by connecting the bottom and inserting a system of pegs and perforations, front walls—lower chutes with perimetric protrusion, side walls—tenons with slots and lower chutes with parametric protrusion, cover—by matching the perimetric chute with the upper protrusions of all walls. Obtained template is used for mold of alginate-gelatinous hydrogel, which can be depolymerized for spontaneous release of toroidal cell-engineered structures without damages. Invention can be used to produce cellular toroidal structures self-aggregating to form hollow tubular structures simulating blood vessels.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing cell toroids.
