FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of monitoring the state of objects. When implementing the method, a round mark is applied at the informative point of the surface associated with the inspected object and with active analysed vibration process, a numbered sequence of halftone or colour images of this mark is created. This sequence is accepted as the primary sequence of mark images. Each element of the primary sequence of images of the mark is subjected to binarization by comparing with the threshold level of pixel brightness, counting the number of pixels that make up the obtained binary image, result of this count is taken as an element of the sequence of primary reference values of the area of the image of the mark with the serial number which was assigned to the initial element of the primary sequence of the image of the mark. In addition, each element of the primary sequence of images of the mark is subjected to binarization by comparison with a threshold level of pixel brightness, different from that level, which is used when generating a sequence of primary reference values of the area of the image of the mark, counting the number of pixels that make up the obtained binary image, result of this count is accepted as element of sequence of primary control values of image area of mark with that serial number, which was assigned to initial element of primary sequence of mark images. Elements of sequences of primary control and reference values of the image area of the mark are combined into groups. In each group, calculating the total or arithmetic mean value of the area of the image of the mark, and this value is taken as an element of a numerical numbered sequence of control or reference values of the area of the image of the mark, respectively. Relative change of the value of each element of the control sequence of values of the image area of the mark is calculated from the value of the element of the reference sequence of values of the area of the image of the mark with the same serial number. Obtained result is taken as an element of the sequence of primary values of the relative vibration increment of the area of the image of the mark with the same serial number. Total or arithmetic mean value of the elements of the obtained sequence is calculated. Obtained result is taken as a relative vibration increment of the area of the image of the mark, according to the range of current values of which the state of the control object is evaluated.

EFFECT: reduced probability of missing a pre-emergency or pre-failure state of the controlled object due to reduced error in estimating the intensity of the vibration process, possibility of monitoring the state of objects in those situations in which switching off the analysed vibration process is impossible or inexpedient.
