FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication, particularly to a method for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). Technical result is achieved by the fact that for monitoring the PDCCH, it is determined that the first monitoring capability of the terminal device is used to monitor the PDCCH of a certain set of cells of the terminal device. Cell set comprises at least two cells of the terminal device, and each cell in the cell set has the same interval pattern and the same subcarrier spacing. N non-overlapping time units of a cell set in one slot are determined, wherein the initial location of each of the N time units is based on a cell interval in the cell set and N is a positive integer. Allocating a first monitoring opportunity in a set of cells based on N time units for separate monitoring of a physical downlink control channel of each cell in the set of cells.
EFFECT: enabling monitoring of a candidate PDCCH of each cell in a set of cells with accuracy to an interval.
