HIGH-VOLTAGE DIELECTRIC PIN AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURING Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC H01B17/00

Abstract RU 2824317 C1

FIELD: high-voltage equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dielectric power elements capable of taking up considerable loading forces with long-term preservation of mechanical characteristics. Pin consists of composite rod, end metal fasteners with variable cross-section length and propping elements. Fasteners are installed in seats at the ends of the rod and fixed by means of wedging elements—plates and wedges made of glass fiber, and composite rod is made of fiberglass. All non-metallic surfaces of the article are coated with epoxy lacquer. Summary of production: pre-dried bundle of fiberglass threads, laid in an impregnating mold, is placed in a vacuum rubber bag, which is evacuated to a pressure of not higher than 6.7 Pa and filled with a thermoactive epoxy compound, after which two-stage polymerisation takes place in an autoclave at pressure of 1.8 MPa at temperature of 80–90 °C for 20 hours and temperature of 110 °C for 8 hours, followed by cooling in an autoclave to room temperature. Produced rods are removed from the impregnating mold and cut into workpieces of the required length, which are subjected to mechanical treatment, in the process of which seats for fasteners are formed, and parallel cuts are made at the ends of the rod. Seats and cuts are coated with a thermoactive epoxy compound, then, fasteners with variable-length cross-section on the rod are fixed with plates and a wedge made from glass fiber. Rod parts protruding beyond fasteners ends are cut off, obtained dielectric pin is subjected to tensile load, after which all visible non-metallic surfaces of the dielectric pin are coated with epoxy varnish.

EFFECT: higher overall reliability of the article.
