FIELD: hydrants.

SUBSTANCE: hydrant (10) comprises lifting pipe (14) and main valve (16) having main valve body (18), sealing seat (20) sealed by main valve body (18), connected to the main valve body (18) at one end is valve stem (22) and spindle system (12). Spindle system (12) comprises spindle cover (24) fixed on lifting pipe (14), spindle (28) installed with possibility of rotation on spindle cover (24) and spindle nut (32) connected to valve stem (22) at the other end. Spindle (28) and spindle nut (32) are in mutual thread engagement, made for conversion of torque applied to spindle (28) into axial movement of valve rod (22). Spindle system (12) additionally comprises trunnion/trunnion support system (52), it includes at least one trunnion (54', 54'') attached to spindle cover (24), and at least one trunnion support (56', 56'') provided in lifting pipe (14). Trunnion support (56', 56") has first support (58', 58") and second support (60', 60"), with which trunnion (54', 54") can come into contact in each case. Method of dismantling spindle system (12) from said hydrant (10) consists in unscrewing spindle cover (24) from lifting pipe (14), turning spindle (28) in direction to lift spindle cover (24) to a predetermined height, turning spindle (28) in the direction for lowering spindle cover (24), continuing spindle (28) turning in the same direction and as a result of this, introduction of force created due to continuation of spindle (28) rotation through trunnion (54', 54") into second support (60', 60"), removal of spindle system (12) from lifting pipe (14).

EFFECT: higher efficiency and efficiency of the device.
