SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to means of reducing the level of radiation of acoustic energy by a light hull of an underwater object. Disclosed is a device and a method for reducing the level of radiation of acoustic energy by a light hull of an underwater object, caused by sources of oscillatory energy and impacts in the form of operating equipment, shafting, propellers and incident water flow, containing acceleration and relative displacement sensors for determining natural vibrations of the light hull of the underwater object, connected in parallel to the inputs of the control device, as well as oscillation drives, which are uniformly distributed over the entire area of the light hull in the inter-hull space and connected to the outputs of the control device. Oscillation drives are configured to excite forced oscillations of the light hull by a signal from the control device in response to natural oscillations determined by the sensors for their compensation.

EFFECT: high efficiency of reducing the level of radiation of acoustic energy by a light hull of an underwater object.
