FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to therapy, pulmonology and cardiology, and can be used for diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). High-resolution computed tomography is performed in inspiratory and expiratory modes. Number of segments with "air traps" and the number of segments with centrilobular emphysema—decrease in density of pulmonary tissue less than 852 HU in centrilobular areas are determined. If observing "air traps" in 6 and more lung segments and centrilobular emphysema in 8 and more lung segments, COPD is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides objectification of increased accuracy of COPD diagnosis in cases of false-negative results of spirometry or impossibility of its performance due to detection of "air traps" and centrilobular emphysema.
