FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to agriculture, field fodder production, plant growing. Method involves winter ploughing once in four years at depth of 18–25 cm with subsequent disking with a heavy harrow “БТ”-3.0, autumn tillage with disc harrow “БДП” 3×4 at depth of 15–18 cm, spring closure of moisture in two traces along and across at the onset of physical ripeness of the soil with a tooth harrow “БЗСС”-1.0 or a cultivator. Application of mineral fertilizer in a dose NPK60 or NPK90 is carried out in the third decade of May - the first decade of June with subsequent pre-sowing treatment with disc harrow “БДП” 3×4. Pre-sowing compaction is carried out with a water-filled smooth roller “ЗКВГ”-1,4, amaranth seeds are sown with row spacing of 30 cm, with rate of 1 kg/ha, followed by packing. In the first days after sowing and at the beginning of the vegetation period and when the productive moisture is below 60% HB, drop watering is carried out in a soil layer of 15–20 cm with norm of 150 m3/ha. From 15 to 25 of August, amaranth grains are harvested by cutting off the upper part of the stem with a whisk and placing under a canopy for ripening for 10 days with subsequent harvesting of seeds separately manually. Middle part of the amaranth stem is removed by a silage harvester for silage and succulent fodder preparation.

EFFECT: method provides for cultivation of amaranth simultaneously for grain and for green mass for preparation of succulent fodder in conditions of risky agriculture in permafrost zone.
