SUBSTANCE: apparatus for supplying a cryosurgical instrument with a coolant, comprising: a spare reservoir configured to store a first stock of coolant in a compressed form at a first pressure, or a connector for connection to such a spare tank, a buffer tank configured to store a second coolant stock in a compressed form with a second pressure and connected to the spare tank or said connector with possibility of the coolant entering the buffer tank, temperature control device made in the form of a heating device and connected at least to the buffer tank with the possibility of increasing its temperature for heating and increasing the pressure of the cooling agent in it. Method for supplying a coolant for a cryosurgical instrument, characterized by that the coolant is withdrawn from a reserve tank at a first pressure and transferred to a buffer tank, coolant pressure is increased during its transfer or after its transfer to the buffer tank; at that, during and/or after cooling agent compression it is heated.

EFFECT: provision of coolant channel throughput in the tool and intensity of cold generation, in particular, undesirable formation of drops in the tool or supply lines is prevented.
