SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a valve device for reducing pressure in a water main, which comprises a spring-loaded valve for reducing pressure, having a housing comprising a chamber, opening for supplying liquid into the chamber and opening for removing liquid from the chamber, a control plate located opposite the opening and subjected to the effect of the supplied liquid acting thereon, spring, under the action of which the plate can be displaced to the hole, and a diaphragm between the control plate and the housing, designed to close the chamber between them and subjected to controlled pressure in the chamber, a controlled motor drive acting between the housing and the end of the spring farthest from the control plate, flow meter located downstream of the outlet, and a controller designed to receive flow data from the flow meter and control the controlled drive of the motor to withdraw the far end of the spring in accordance with the flow rate measured by the flow meter, and is made so that when used to increase the required flow rate, the control plate at such an increase is partially retracted to maintain the downstream pressure, and vice versa.
EFFECT: valve device makes it possible to reduce pressure in water main line in compliance with required flow in network downstream.
