FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method for engine comprises estimating mass flow rate of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) by output signal of pressure transducer (217) when engine load (10) is below threshold value. Mass flow rate of the EGR is determined based on the output signal of the carbon dioxide sensor (220) at the inlet when the engine load exceeds the threshold value and without considering the output signal of the pressure difference sensor. Ignition timing is adjusted depending on the result of estimating mass flow rate of EGR. Disclosed are methods (versions) for engine.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of fuel efficiency and operational characteristics of engine due to limitation of unjustified delay of ignition due to reduced risk of detonation.
