FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface treatment and can be used in machine building and related industries. Method involves anodizing articles made from aluminium alloys in a solution of sulphuric acid 150–250 g/l at temperature of 15–25 °C and current density on surfaces of articles 1–2 A/dm2 for 20–40 minutes to form oxide coatings with uniform porosity. Then gradually heating from 200 to 500 °C, they are colouring in a solution with a black dye, drying, and pores of the coatings are filled with used mineral motor oil, after which the articles are held at 110–150 °C for 5–20 minutes.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain decorative protective coatings of stable deep black colour on articles made from aluminium alloys, which remains during operation in the open air for at least 12 months.
