FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of a fibre-optic cable which can be used as a sensor cable. Fibre-optic cable comprises optical fibres, power elements in a common polymer or metal sheath and an outer sheath. Outer shell is ribbed on two sides. Two optical fibres are located at least in each plane of the cable. Cable additionally contains one or more optical fibres, which are laid freely and do not undergo deformation when the cable is bent.
EFFECT: enabling use of a shape control sensor in three planes, which is resistant to external mechanical effects and does not require additional protection.
