SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thoracic surgery, and can be used to predict the development of respiratory complications after lobectomy. Before lobectomy, the patient performs a ladder test and a shuttle walk test. Obtained test results are assigned points in accordance with the nomogram. Obtained points are summed up. According to the total score on the nomogram, a probability of the risk of postoperative respiratory complications is predicted. If the risk is less than 0.5, the risk of developing respiratory complications is minimal. If the risk is more than 0.5, the risk of developing respiratory complications is high.
EFFECT: method enables the reliable prediction of the risk of postoperative respiratory complications following lobectomy.
