SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to urology, oncology; it can be used in the determination of morphological risk factors for progression (MRFP) in patients with prostate cancer in the preoperative period. To do this, before prostatectomy, the following is determined: the clinical stage of prostate cancer, the level of prostate specific antigen (PSA) in blood plasma, the volume of the prostate gland (cm3). By means of the original calculation formula, PSA density index (dPSA) is calculated according to the formula: dPSA = P/V, where P is the initial concentration of serum PSA (ng/ml), V is the volume of the prostate gland (cm3) calculated according to transrectal ultrasound examination (TUE) or MRI of pelvic organs. With dPCA>0.204 ng/ml/cm3, a high risk of detection of morphological risk factors for progression is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides an accurate prediction of the probability of detection of morphological risk factors for progression, which determines the decision on the most rational and adequate tactics and scope of surgical intervention.
