FIELD: optical instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument making and can be used as a sensor for making systems for monitoring spectral composition of ultraviolet radiation for tasks in industry, medicine, ecology or in military equipment. Photosensitive luminescent element, which surface layer is modified by diffusion from salt melt, with alkali metal nitrate and silver nitrate, including molecular clusters of silver Agn, where n≤5, formed in the near-surface layer of glass, the system of which includes MgO-Al2O3-SiO2, is characterized by that the alkali metal nitrate includes sodium nitrate in ratio of 99.9:0.1% to silver nitrate, depth of near-surface layer modified by diffusion for not more than 15 minutes at temperature of 320 °C is not more than 10 mcm, and the glass system is supplemented with Na2O-K2O-CaO-Fe2O3-SO3.
EFFECT: invention provides high selectivity of luminescence and low cost of making a photosensitive luminescent element with high rate of diffusion of silver ions with a decrease in the relative number of large clusters relative to the number of small clusters.
