FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a carpal cuff for treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Hand cuff (1) for treating carpal tunnel syndrome (2) of the hand comprises body (3), body (3) includes dorsal portion (4) and palmar portion (5). Dorsal portion (4) is configured to exert pressure on the dorsal side of hand (2) at least in one place. Palmar portion (5) is configured to exert pressure on the palmar side of hand (2) on both sides of the carpal canal at least in one place on each side. Dorsal portion (4) and palmar portion (5) together are configured to expand the carpal canal of hand (2) by applying pressure. Hand cuff (1) has distal end (9) and proximal end (10), of which proximal end (10) is the end of hand cuff (1), which is located on the side of the wrist in the working position. Body (3) has between dorsal portion (4) and palmar portion (5) two opposite open slots (6) open on one side. Open sides of the slits are located at the said proximal end (10) of carpal cuff (1). Slots (6) are configured to receive thumb (7) of left or right hand (2).
EFFECT: prevention of labor-consuming thumb insertion.
