SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balanced chess games. Balanced chess game device comprises a game board (GB) with a game field (GF) and an external field for reserve pieces (FRP); GB weighting means; two sets of game pieces (GP); base; an axial support assembly having an upper support (US) with a recess and a lower support located in the US recess and forming a rolling pair with a recess in the US, which allows rotation of the GB relative to the horizontal plane (HP); means for measuring the angular position of the GB; means for limiting the angle of inclination of the GB, two different sets of reserve pieces (RP), different from the GP, located below the GB before the start of the game and installed during the game on the FRP, wherein the weight of the two sets of RP is less than the weight of the two sets of GP, and the GB has a weight greater than the weight of the two sets of GPs. Rules of the balanced game of chess on the device include: placing the GP on the GF and conducting the game in accordance with the rules of the game of chess; installation of GB in horizontal position; arrangement of the RP outside the GB on the site in the area of accessibility for each player; beginning of the game in accordance with the rules of the game of classical chess; after making the GP move by any of the players and changing the angular position of the GB, one of the players restores the HP of the GB by setting the RP to the FRP; game ends if one of the players (the loser) has used all RPs to restore the HP of the GB, or a “checkmate” is declared.

EFFECT: device has technical means in the form of RP, which enable to restore the horizontal position of the GB after its inclination as a result of making a move by a game piece and to increase the accuracy of such restoration.
