SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balanced positional games using weight game pieces (chess, checkers) placed on a balancing game surface for the game with observance of balance. Balanced chess game device consists of a game board (GB) with an upper surface with a game field (GF) and game figures (GF), base of each of which has a coefficient of sliding friction on the GF, which exceeds the tangent of the limiting angle of inclination of the GB, with an external field (EF) on the upper surface of the GB, and with the lower surface; support assembly (SA) with an upper part with a lower spherical surface (LSS) and a lower support (LS) of SA; inclination angle measuring means (IAMM) of GB; adjustable means for limiting the maximum angle of inclination of the GB, at that, the ratio of the radius of the LSS of the upper part of the SA to the width of the EF of the GB is in the interval: R_LSS/B=0.08–0.20; SA LS surface is flat or spherical; sliding friction coefficient of the LSS of the SA relative to the flat or spherical surface of the LS of SA exceeds 0.14; SA LSS has weighting means; device has additional figures (AF) installed on GB EF in number from 2 to 8 for each player, differing in shape or color; ratio of weight of all GF and AF to weight of GB is in range of 0.50–1.25.

EFFECT: disclosed is a balanced game of chess.
