SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balanced positional games on a balancing game board, where chess pieces are used as game pieces. Device of a balanced game of chess consists of a game board (GB) with a game field (GF), on which game pieces (GP) are positioned, the bases of which have a high coefficient of sliding friction by game field; a support assembly (SA) consisting of an upper, a lower support and a middle ball bearing (MBB), the upper spherical part of which contacts the upper support of the support assembly, and the lower spherical part (LSP) contacts the lower support of the support assembly; means for measuring the angle of inclination of the game board; adjustable means of limiting the maximum angle of inclination of the game board, wherein the upper support is a flat or spherical lower surface of the game board with a radius of R_LS>R_MBB, where R_LS is the radius of the spherical surface of the lower surface of the game board; R_MBB—radius of middle ball bearing; ratio of the radius of the support assembly middle ball bearing to the maximum width of the game board B is in the interval R_MBB/B=0.08–0.18; middle ball bearing has turning means; coefficient of sliding friction of the lower surface of the game board relative to the upper surface of the support assembly middle ball bearing exceeds 0.14; support assembly lower support has an inner surface with diameter d_IS, determined from the ratio: d_IS=(1.0...1.4)R_MBB, ratio of weight of all game pieces to weight of game board is in range of 0.5–1.25.

EFFECT: simplifying the design of the support assembly and ensuring smooth transition of the game board from one position (horizontal or inclined) to another when the game pieces move along the game board during the game.
