SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to a system and an adapter for mechanical treatment of root canals. System comprises endodontic file (412) with a friction connecting element for holding and rotating said file, dental tip (414) with a cartridge. System also includes adapter (400) containing connecting element (402) for cartridge (416), having a section detachably fixed inside the cartridge, and holder (408) containing a cavity. Cavity is made with the possibility of detachable retention of the friction connecting element (404) relatively to the cavity when the transmitted torque is transmitted to the endodontic file up to the specified threshold torque value. Also, the cavity allows slippage of the friction connecting element when the transmitted torque exceeds the threshold value, thereby limiting the transmitted torque between the dental handpiece and the endodontic file to the threshold value.
EFFECT: facilitating endodontic cleaning of root canals.
