FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: soil-cultivating disc battery for embedding stubble remains of long-stemmed crops comprises pairwise connected discs assembled into a battery by means of cross-shaped hinges mounted on spring-loaded C-shaped posts. Each pair of rotating discs contains movably interconnected corrugated and needle discs with toothed blades installed on needles at angle of 15–25° along the circumference. Blades are made with four peaks and three depressions along a sinusoidal curve. Vertex opening angle is 30°. Blades have the shape of a scraper with a cutting edge directed along the movement of the disk battery. Surface of the blade ribs has a friction coefficient exceeding that of the crop stubble. Blade base has a concave hemisphere for attachment without a gap to the needle surface, which is made up of parts connected to each other with the possibility of changing the needle length. Abrasive coarse-grained tissue-based paper is glued to the blades. On the spring-loaded poles of the disc battery, in the centre above the discs, there is an installation for controlling the technological process of closing crop residues, consisting of frame with moving along it and rotating through 360° camera by means of a carriage with a rotary mechanism, which is interconnected with the chamber through L-shaped telescopic posts.

EFFECT: reduced traction resistance with simultaneous improvement of quality of embedding of crop residues and expansion of functional capabilities, provision of control of embedding of crop residues.
