FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for measuring stability of a tear film of a patient using a device comprising a backlit translucent plate having a globe located in front of at least one eye of the patient, at least one digital photo camera connected to a computer system equipped with image processing and analysis means, wherein the camera lens is directed towards the patient's eye in order to photograph the reflection of the pattern from the patient's eye, wherein the method comprises, starting from the beginning of the countdown (t0) formed by the blinking of the eyelid, the steps of sequentially capturing images, successively detecting the micro-motion zones on the images, position data, area and number of lachrymal film micromovement zones on each image are calculated and stored by means of image processing and analysis means and and storing, based on sequential calculation of positions, area and number of micromovement zones of lachrymal film, results of measurements of amplitude of micromovement zones depending on time.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will make it possible to increase accuracy and repeatability of measurements for implementation of diagnostics.
