FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology and vision physiology. Lighting of cornea surface, examination and comparison of condition of lachrymal film of cornea surface before and after impact on the latter are carried out. Lightening of cornea surface within the pupil is carried out by ring-shaped light spot, coaxial with pupil of examined patient's eye, fixing registration of brightness of speck from surface of pupil centre cornea and reflected ring-like speck from surface of cornea of non-central zone within the pupil. Contrast of brightness is calculated by Michelson's formula. Ruptures of lachrymal film on surface of cornea are examined by condition of the latter immediately after winking - first examination and after fixed time after last eyelid closing - second examination. Obtained registered results of contrast brightnesses of reflected specks of first examination are compared with value of contrast of brightnesses of reflected specks of second examination, and by difference of contrasts defects of cornea surface are detected.

EFFECT: method allows increasing of accuracy and quality of detecting cornea surface defects on its total area.
