SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of oil deposits. Method of thermal extraction of crude oil includes a step of designing implementation parameters; step for preparing the coal-water suspension, wherein the coal-water suspension required for the specific implementation of thermal extraction is prepared in accordance with the implementation parameters; injection stage, at which the coal-water suspension is pumped into the target reservoir through the injection well in accordance with the injection mode according to the implementation parameters, and auxiliary substance for combustion is pumped based on total amount of pumped coal-water suspension, wherein in real time amount of pumped auxiliary substance for combustion is in suitable proportion to pumped volume of coal-water suspension, so that coal-water suspension is excessive for combustion, so that unburnt particles of coal-water suspension will be formed and deposited in pores of reservoir; control and displacement stage providing crude oil production. Spontaneous combustion of coal-water suspension is caused by thermal energy generated by means of a borehole heating device. Control and displacement are performed in reservoir bed with the help of heat energy and gas formed after combustion, in presence of unburnt particles of coal-water suspension settled in pores of reservoir bed.
EFFECT: increase of crude oil extraction index, improvement of displacement coverage index, environmentally friendly use of coal.
