FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact coolers, in particular to design of cooling tower fan housing, and can be used at enterprises of chemical and power industry for cooling of recycled water. Cooling tower fan housing is made in the form of a confuser-diffuser shell from glass material, on the outer surface of which there are crossing stiffening ribs, wherein cooling tower fan housing is made of lower and upper parts, each of which is assembled from sections, at that, on the outer surface of each section there are stiffening ribs hollow with a trapezoidal cross-section and on the side end walls of each section there are flat flanges and by means of which the sections are bolted together into the lower and upper parts, and on the upper horizontal end wall of the lower part sections and on the lower horizontal end wall of the upper part sections, flanges are made, by means of which the lower and upper parts are bolted together to form a confuser-diffuser shell, at that, when assembled, the lower part is made conical tapering to the top with a lower circular horizontal section and an upper arc-shaped section in the longitudinal section and a circular section in the cross section, and each section of the lower part is made with two longitudinally arranged ribs in the upper part of the section, wherein each of these ribs in the middle part of the section is smoothly transformed into two longitudinally directed downward ribs, and the latter are connected to each other by two horizontal stiffening ribs located between the upper and middle sections of these ribs, wherein the upper part is made with the lower cylindrical and smoothly conjugated with the upper conical section expanding upwards, and each section of the upper part is made with intersecting vertically and horizontally stiffening ribs with the formation between them on the cylindrical section of the upper part of two rows of square cells in cross section and on the expanding conical section of the upper part, the intersecting horizontal and vertical ribs form two rows of rectangular vertically elongated cells.
EFFECT: reduction of aerodynamic resistance of cooling tower fan flow part at increase of diffuser structure rigidity.
