FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to contact coolers and to mechanical-draft towers, in particular. It may used in chemical and power plants for cooling recycled water. Mechanical-draft tower contains housing with diffuser in upper part, air intake windows and pool in lower part. It is also comprised of drip collector, water distribution system and sprayer inside housing. Besides, cylindrical duct is situated in housing in axial alignment to diffuser. Electrical drive of paddle wheel is located in the upper part of duct. There is a circular projection with segment-shaped platform in the upper part of duct. Supporting ring and circular metal frame are installed in axial alignment to internal surface of duct. Circular frame is connected with internal wall of duct along external edge. Two parallel beams are fastened to circular frame and two transverse beams are fastened between them central square opening overlapped with square metal plate resting on those beams. There is a central opening in metal plate, which is in axial alignment to circular frame axis. Metal, flat and circular flange is fastened to supporting plate. Shaft of electrical drive operating in fan paddle wheel represented as motor-reducer and suspended on circular flange is arranged though the central opening of metal, flat and circular flange.
EFFECT: improvement of mechanical-draft tower operation effectiveness and cost reduction for paddle-wheeled fan maintenance and assembly.
