FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of diamond-abrasive tools and can be used for processing of high-strength hard-to-machine materials. Method involves formation of a briquette from a mixture under thermal action. Diamond powder is pre-wetted with furfural at ratio of 5: 1, mixed and mixed with pulverized bakelite resin. Auxiliary and antifriction additives including graphite powder and crushed walnut shell powder are loaded. Charge is mixed and filled into mould. Charge is heated to pulverbakelite melting point of 70–90°C, mould is closed, temperature is increased to 180–240°C and final sintering of the charge is carried out to obtain a briquette, which is held under pressure in the mould until the temperature is lowered to 90°C, after which it is polymerized to obtain a diamond tool of a given shape. Ratio of charge components is given.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance and durability of diamond tool and smoothness of processed surface.
