SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of technologies for processing autoclave aerated concrete blocks and panels, in particular to a cutting machine and a method for automatic replacement of steel wire. Cutting machine includes a cutting device intended for cutting a workpiece to be cut; device for automatic replacement of steel wire, intended for replacement of steel wire used in cutting device, and including wire storage unit, wire gripping unit and transfer unit. In the wire storage unit, a number of wire storage stations are provided for storing the wire to be installed; transfer unit is used for successive supply of steel wire stored in wire storage unit to points of removal and laying; wire gripping unit is used for installation of wire located at points of removal and laying in cutting machine and/or removal of wire from cutting machine and its laying back into wire storage unit.
EFFECT: efficient automatic replacement of steel wire.
