METHOD FOR SELECTING THERAPEUTIC APPROACH IN PATIENTS WITH TRAUMATIC SPLEEN INJURY (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B8/08 A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2825960 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used in choosing a therapeutic approach to patients with traumatic spleen injury. In case of unstable haemodynamics, emergency laparotomy is performed. If observing stable haemodynamics and if the time between injury and admission to hospital is less than 3 hours or more than 12 hours, an estimated volume of fluid (EVF) in the abdominal cavity is additionally determined. Therapeutic approach is determined depending on EVF and the time between the injury and admission to hospital. In another version of the invention, if the haemodynamics is stable and if the time between the injury and admission to hospital is 3 to 12 hours, a blood loss rate is additionally determined, and if the blood loss rate is less than 250 ml/h, dynamic observation and angiography are performed. If the blood loss rate is 250 ml/h and more, angiography with splenic artery embolization is performed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides selection of effective therapeutic approach, replaces traumatic surgical interventions with minimally invasive methods of treatment, minimizes number of surgical interventions.
