FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. Method of preparing the mixture for making moulds and cores involves cladding of the filler, heat treatment of the clad filler and further introduction of a solution of an alumino-boron-phosphate concentrate. Filler used is mullitized sand, which is clad with an aqueous solution of lignosulphonate. Periclase powdered hardener is added to the clad sand, the mixture is mixed and the clad filler is treated with UHF currents with power of 750-900 W at operating frequency of 2450 MHz.
EFFECT: improved technological properties of the mixture, strength, geometric accuracy and gas permeability of casting moulds and cores, especially for casting large-size castings from alloyed steel.
