FIELD: construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials and can be used to increase specific heat capacity of concrete and mortar. Method of increasing the heat capacity of concrete and mortar includes additional introduction of heat-accumulating encapsulated aggregate in form of capsules to the main components at the stage of preparing the concrete or mortar mixture, capsules contain a heat-accumulating substance in the form of a salt water solution in a polymer shell with the possibility of temperature change of its volume, wherein the encapsulated aggregate is introduced in amount of 10% to 90% of the volume, and aqueous solution of sodium sulphate is used as aqueous solution in encapsulated aggregate.
EFFECT: high specific heat capacity of concrete and mortar to increase energy efficiency of construction facilities operated in a wide range of temperatures, including under construction conditions for northern latitudes.
