FIELD: paintwork materials.

SUBSTANCE: manufacture of a binder for paints and varnishes. Heat-storing microcapsules contain organic latent heat stores coated with a shell. The core material is hexadecane and the shell material is derived from a monomer – octyltrimethoxysilane. The microcapsules have a specific heat of phase transition of 175.06-180.82 kJ/kg and a compressive strength of 0.25-0.32 MPa. A method for producing microcapsules was also proposed.

EFFECT: improved mechanical and thermophysical properties of microcapsules.
