SUBSTANCE: invention relates to handling operations. Method of controlling explosive height during loading and unloading operations consists in the fact that the responsible manager of works is informed about the location of the cargo at the explosive height and the height of the cargo falling in case of emergency is recorded. When loading or unloading to the discharge cargo located horizontally or vertically relative to the surface, when the cargo is transferred from the horizontal position to the vertical position and vice versa, located on the road train platform, two signalling devices are fixed, on one end of the load and on the opposite one, so that they are maximally spaced apart. Instruments are brought into working condition, then load grippers and guides are attached to the load. When the load is lifted to an explosive height on the signalling device-recorder, a signal lamp and a loudspeaker are activated, and a mechanical signalling device of contact height measurement is pulled out. In case the load falls, the manager can determine the state of the load based on the indication of the signalling device. Last altitude data recorded in the memory of the range finder on the carrier are displayed on the display when the device is switched on.

EFFECT: reduced time of categorization, increased reliability of determination of condition of cargo to reduce risk of aggravation of emergency.
