FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical recognition of objects by spectral analysis and concerns a system for detecting weeds and treating them with herbicides during pre-sowing soil treatment. System includes a linear optical sensor made in the form of two linear photomatrices arranged in parallel on both sides of the horizontal axis, each of which is equipped with a separate light filter which transmits light flux with a fixed wavelength. System also has two lenses between which two mirrors are located at angle of 45 degrees relative to each of the lenses, wherein the mirrors converge with their ends to each other so that they form angle of 90 degrees in the cross section. Linear optical sensor is connected to a microcontroller, which calculates the vegetation index NDVI from the data obtained from the linear optical sensor, using the calculated index NDVI determines the presence of living plants and controls the sprayer so that to spray only where the presence of living plants is determined.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the system, enabling point ingress of the herbicide on a living plant and reduced consumption of the herbicide.
