FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bioluminescent systems, specifically to use of a compound of general formula (I), or general formula (II), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as luciferin for a bioluminescent reaction. In formulas (I) and (II): n is selected independently and represents 0–1; x is selected independently and represents 1; m is selected independently and represents 1–6; y is selected independently and represents 3; R is independently selected and is a substituted tricyclic C13-aryl containing a heteroatom selected from 1 O atom, where said tricyclic C13-aryl is substituted with 1–6 substitutes selected from halogen, -C=O, phenyl, phenyl-COOH. Invention also relates to use of a compound of general formula Gly-Polyol-Acyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as luciferin for a bioluminescent reaction, where Gly is a carbohydrate moiety of a monosaccharide, Polyol is independently selected and is a polyatomic alcohol; Acyl is selected independently and is a polyunsaturated fatty acid hydroperoxide, which is characterized by the following structural formula , where n is selected independently and represents 0-3; x is selected independently and represents 1; m is selected independently and represents 1-6; y is selected independently and represents 3.
EFFECT: wider range of technical means in the field of using bioluminescent systems by identifying molecules of substrates of the bioluminescent reaction (luciferins) of the Chaetopterus variopedatus worm, oxidation of which is accompanied by emission of light.
