FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of designing aircraft for various purposes, using the dynamics of movement and the structure of the fan of the bird's flight feather as a structural base. Drive propulsion device for ornithopter-type aircraft comprises through pipe-like element, inside of which on support components there is a drive shaft having the possibility of performing reciprocal linear movement with a valve device installed on it, which is placed between the said support components. Each support component consists of rod-shaped, at least, three posts, with one end parts connected to inner surface of tubular element, and other end parts through individual roller mechanisms are connected to said drive shaft. Valve device is formed by two one-sided movable flaps, having a single joint axis of rotation with formation due to generated forces of inertia and aerodynamic forces of resistance of air flow, of alternating open and closed positions of the valve device, the movable flaps of which in the plan have a shape comparable to the shape of the cross section of the tubular element.
EFFECT: improved aerodynamic efficiency of flight.
