FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of gas distribution stations (GDS), in terms of joint electrochemical protection of underground communications of GDS gas pipelines. Method consists in joint protection of gas pipeline-branch and underground communications of gas pipelines of GDS. Each underground section of gas pipelines of GDS is electrically insulated in places of exit from the ground. Isolation is carried out using electrically insulating joints from the above-ground section of gas pipelines, having galvanic connection with protective earthing, support structures from steel piles, foundation reinforced concrete bases without protective coating. Protective current from gas pipeline-branch is distributed to underground communications of gas pipelines of GDS through cable welded to each section of underground gas pipeline and connected to protective current distributor.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to efficiently use protective current of gas pipeline-branch, thus reducing costs for maintenance and repair of GDS electrochemical protection system.
