FIELD: water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waste water treatment by electroflotation and is intended for clarification of waste water by extracting suspended substances from waste water, and can be used in various industries. Electroflotator comprises a housing, a vertical partition dividing the housing into flotation and water clarification chambers, a flotation sludge collection device and a flotation sludge removal tray. In the flotation chamber there is a branch pipe for supply of initial waste water and an electrode unit, and an outlet branch pipe and an inclined wall are installed in the clarification chamber. Flotation chamber is additionally equipped in the lower part of the sedimentary part to collect the sediment in the form of a cone. Electrodes of the electrode unit are installed vertically and have perforation in the form of holes for passage of treated water and electrolysis gases. Vertical partition between the chambers is made in the form of a plate, the upper edge of which is made at the level of the waste water surface, and a gap is made between the lower edge and the bottom of the housing. Clarification chamber is additionally equipped with a water collecting tray connected to the outlet branch pipe. Floatation sludge collection device and the flotation sludge removal tray are arranged in the clarification chamber; at that, the inclined wall of the clarification chamber is made so that its bottom adjoins the sedimentary part of the flotation chamber, and the top adjoins the water collecting tray.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of electroflotation unit due to increased coefficient of its use due to arrangement of collection and removal of sediment.
