FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used to produce annular articles. Steel workpiece is used, which is heated to temperature of 1,250 °C. Workpiece is upset and a hole is pierced in it. Obtained forging is rolled at temperature of 1,150–1,200 °C with subsequent expansion of its inner diameter. Expansion is carried out at temperature of 800–900 °C with subsequent accelerated cooling with compressed air at a flow rate of 140 m3/h.
EFFECT: obtaining uniform fine-grained microstructure and, consequently, stability of physical and mechanical properties and geometric parameters of solid-rolled rings.
