FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial production of petrochemical synthesis products, namely to a method of producing isopropylbenzene hydroperoxide. Method is carried out by liquid-phase oxidation of isopropylbenzene with atmospheric oxygen at temperature of 120 °C in the presence of potassium 2-ethylhexanoate as a catalyst.
EFFECT: obtaining the end product with high selectivity.
