FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for determination of ultraviolet radiation exposure zone in treatment of refraction abnormalities in patients after radial keratotomy. For this purpose, prior to the cross-linking procedure, the cornea is sequentially examined on a Pentacam device with determination of densitometry data. Based on the results of the study, the areas of postkeratotomic scars with the highest density of corneal tissue according to densitometry data are selected.
EFFECT: invention provides higher stability of biomechanical properties of cornea and reduced variability of refraction abnormalities in patients after radial keratotomy.
