FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for local corneal crosslinking in case of keratectasia. For this, deepithelialization of the cornea is carried out in the paraoptic zone 2-4 mm wide. A solution of riboflavin 0.1% is installed dripwise for 30 minutes with an interval of 2 minutes. In the paraoptic zone, irradiation is carried out with a power density of 6 mW/cm2 for 15 min in the form of semicircles located in accordance with the ectasia zone, and with simultaneous installations of riboflavin every three minutes.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the time of intervention with a decrease in intraoperative infection and mechanical trauma of the surface layers of the cornea and a corresponding prevention of possible postoperative complications, a reduction in the rehabilitation period and an increase in the efficiency of the operation.
