METHOD FOR DETERMINING SEVERITY OF ANTENATAL HYDRONEPHROSIS IN SECOND HALF OF PREGNANCY Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B8/08 A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2826775 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ultrasound diagnostics, and can be used to determine severity of antenatal hydronephrosis in the second half of pregnancy. Method involves ultrasonic examination with determination of the size of foetal renal pelvis. Size of the foetal renal pelvis is compared with the gestational age in weeks according to table 7 from the description, and the severity of the development of antenatal hydronephrosis is determined. Size of the foetal pelvis falling within the range of values of the first column corresponds to a mild degree of antenatal hydronephrosis. Size of the foetal pelvis falling within the range of values of the second column corresponds to a moderate degree of antenatal hydronephrosis. Size of the foetal pelvis falling within the range of values of the third column also corresponds to a moderate degree of antenatal hydronephrosis. Size of the foetal pelvis falling within the range of values of the fourth column corresponds to a severe degree of antenatal hydronephrosis. Size of the foetal pelvis falling within the range of values of the fifth column corresponds to a very severe degree of antenatal hydronephrosis.

EFFECT: method enables reducing the number of organ-carrying surgeries and exacerbations of chronic pyelonephritis by determining the size of the foetal renal pelvis.
