FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to analysis of facial aesthetics by setting reference points on 3D models of face and evaluation of developed parameters, and can be used by orthodontists, maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, orthopedic dentists. Disclosed is a method for assessing facial aesthetics in a specially designed program, including construction of digital 3D-models of soft tissues of face according to computer tomography or 3D-scanning of head, where the developed algorithm is used to calculate the morphometric parameters of the face reflecting the presence of dentofacial anomalies and disturbed facial aesthetics: distances characterizing the position of the upper and lower jaws in the sagittal plane (t R—sn, t L—sn; t R—pg, t L—pg) or (po R—sn, po L—sn; po R—sm, po L—sm); lower jaw body length on the right and on the left (go R—pg, go L—pg), lower jaw branch length on the right and on the left (po R—go R, po L—go L); lower jaw width (go R—go L, go R—go L); angle sn-gn-cer; col-sn-ul angle; as well as the ratio of the lengths of Sellion(n)-sn/sn-pg; ratio of sections of Sellion(n)-meC/po—go on the right and on the left; ratio of sections t R—t L/po—pg on the right and on the left; ratio of sections go R—go L/go—pg on the right and on the left; ratio of segments gl—pg/po—Sellion(n) on the right and on the left; at the same time, if the obtained data comply with the developed norms and fit within the permissible limits, this testifies to the harmonic development of the dentofacial system of the patient, and deviation on violations of facial aesthetics.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to assess aesthetics and attractiveness of a face in three-dimensional space.
