METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE PATIENT'S DENTAL STATUS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in assessing the dental status of patients with dentofacial system abnormalities. Head teleroentgenogram is performed in the lateral projection when observing the morphometrical parameters of the dentofacial system, on which the angular parameters characterizing occlusion of the dental arches are measured: PoNA, PoNM, and angular parameters reflecting harmony of dentofacial system development: PoNA, PoNB, ML-NL, MNI. Additionally, angular parameter LP and linear parameters reflecting facial esthetics, PLV-sto, PLV-1/1 are measured and compared with their maximum permissible values. If the obtained data correspond to the norm and fit within the limits of the tolerable limits, this indicates the dental status of the patient being in harmony, and the abnormality testifies to the absence of harmony of the dentofacial system development and, as a result, the aesthetic dysfunction.

EFFECT: method enables assessing the harmony of development of the dentofacial system and occlusion of the dentures and facial aesthetics.
